All About Peptide Therapy

ย

By: @inceipek1

ย

Over the years, various treatment methods that enhance what we already have within our bodies have become increasingly popular. Peptide therapy is a great example of one of these popular therapy methods.

ย

Peptides are the building blocks of proteins and are composed of amino acids that work to control a range of biological functions and processes. These naturally occurring peptides perform as signaling molecules inside the body and communicate with other cells and molecules on what functions to perform. There are over 7,000 known peptides within the human bodyย that play a crucial role in various physiological processes. Some common functions of peptides include pain relief, repairing soft tissues,ย speeding up healing processes, promoting weight loss and lean muscle gain, overturning symptoms of sexual dysfunction, improving hormone production, and enhancing cognitive function. So, how does peptide therapy work?

ย

Even though our bodies naturally generate peptides, the production and quality of peptides within our bodies drop and weaken as we age. Peptide therapy helps to restore the number of peptides within the body which helps to stimulate cellular regrowth systems. Benefits of peptide therapy are vast and can be used to speed up healing processes, boost hormone levels, heal the gut, decrease joint and muscle pain, enhance cognitive function and memory, increase energy levels and stamina, lower blood pressure, reduce signs of aging, and stimulate hair growth. Peptides that are used in therapy are usually crafted from animal or plant protein sources such as eggs, milk, meat, soy, oats, flaxseed, hemp seed, and wheat. They are typically administeredย directly into the blood stream or in creams, nasal sprays, or oral forms.

ย

Peptides are typically administered directly into the bloodstream through subcutaneous injections, but may also be applied as topical creams, nasal sprays, or oral forms.

ย

Peptides are naturally found throughout the body so it is no surprise that when imbalanced they create chaos across multiple systems that may affect other bodily functions such as digestion, metabolism, weight loss, sexual desire, inflammation, neuropathy, and countless age-related conditions. Peptide therapy can treat these conditions by mimicking the bodyโ€™s own peptides with a low risk of side effects as peptides are recognized and tolerated within your body already.
