2023 Goal and Intention Check-In

Sporty & Rich Wellness - 2023 Goal and Intention Check-In

By: @curawellness.co

Can you believe we are already 3 months into the year? Whilst 2023 is steadily moving forward, I figure there’s no better way than to pause and return to the present moment by devoting intentional time and space for self-reflection and mindfulness.

Remember those goals and intentions you created at the beginning of the year…the self-care goals, financial goals, personal goals, health goals, career goals…. I encourage you to dedicate some time out of your schedule to reflect back on those intentions and evaluate the progress you’ve made so far.

Below is a list of prompts for you to journal and reflect on:

How are you tracking?

Do you feel as though you’re 25% of the way through those goals?

What strategies/methods are working well?

Are there any areas/goals that need further refinement or a change of direction?

Goal-setting, or intention-setting as I prefer to say, requires constant evaluation and refinement to ensure you’re on the right path. It’s easy to set out a big plan at the beginning of the year of all the goals and accomplishments you wish to achieve for the year ahead but unless you took the time out to ensure they are SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound), then you may be setting yourself up for defeat.

Reflecting, reviewing and refocusing on your intentions allows you to feel proud of all the goals you've accomplished so far, and also enables you to refocus on the areas you want to improve on.

Incorporating mindfulness into this activity requires you to be completely focused and present on the task you're completing. Celebrate the wins you have achieved in the first 3 months of this year! You might not be half-way to achieving the goal you set out for yourself, but even if you have committed and made a start, that's worth celebrating. Practicing gratitude daily for all the small moments in your day results in long-term success and appreciation for how far you've come and how hard you've worked.

Remember to set a date with yourself in another 3 months time to check in with yourself and your intentions. Celebrate the small things, because the small things end up being the big things!

If you’re looking for further support with goal setting, please contact Tayla via email hello@curawellness.co, Instagram @curawellness.co or book in for a naturopathic consultation.
